It doesn't seem like they're too interested in fully supporting word
processors other than Word (not even WordPerfect is fully supported:
http://www.endnote.com/support/en_wpchart_win.asp); however, I noticed
that Endnote has a feature called "RTF Document Scan" that claims to
work with any program that can save to RTF. AbiWord can definitely do
this, so I wonder if that might offer a way of using Endnote with
AbiWord. I don't have access to a copy of Endnote, but if your version
supports this feature it may be worth trying.
