ATK the Accessibility Toolkit
http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gap/
The Gnome version of Abiword should be using ATK automatically but I do
not know if anyone has yet evaluated how well it works.
We would certainly love to know how well Abiword works with ATK but I am
hesitant to suggest you switch to Linux just yest without knowing more but
in the long run the fully open infrastructure provided by ATK should make
a huge difference.
