importing styles

when i import a style, i have to save the file that i've imported
into, close and re-open it to see the new style. i've persisted with
this for a long time, it's become a pain. is there a work-around? or
is this a bug?

i notice that my bug about exporting tables to xhtml was kicked into
the long grass:-( i wait in hope :-)

overall i'm pretty pleased with abiword and use it to produce my
poetry for my website. however, i have two items for your new years
wishlist:

1. python interface

i use the build tool set called scons (http://www.scons.org/) to help
generate my website. scons is written in python so it would be
excellent if there was a python interface for using abiword. i can
think of so many more things to do with abiword if that were true,
particularly with access to meta-data, see next item.

2.creating own meta-data pairs in "document properties".

i - and a lot of people i suspect - would like to be able to create my
own meta-data pairs on an abiword document, such as "collection
title", "copyright licence" etc etc.

best, new year etc

Roger
