Perhaps I should explain my ignorance, I learned to type over fourty years
ago on a Monotype Keyboard, seven banks of keyboards with extra keys for
ffi ffl fi and the ligatures etc., etc. I then, having left the
printing/publishing industry about 30 years ago moved on to a typewriter,
and other than the fact of there being the Funtion keys and the up - down,
left - right keys and the delete key I've never actually looked at the
keyboard to see whats there.
I can only presume, that these days my touch being a little 'heavy'
exacerbated by prescription painkillers that I hit the 'insert' key when
using the 'delete' key, or more probably both of them togther, which seems
to be occuring more often these days.
Thank you all who have pulled me out of my pit of confusion, whilst at the
same time adding to my education, again thank you.
