I like the ideas of bug bounties - where users can submit a bug or RFE,
it is determined to be worthy, and then users can donate to a bounty to
pay a developer to implement them.

I believe gnome.org has a bounty system - but it seems that only
corporations are able to participate in sponsoring bounties.
