That page offers something new to me, called an "autopackage" -- which
seems to be independent of distro, if I read the instructions aright, and
to have a GUI (both of which I like) -- but also to say that I have to
uninstall the old one.
I'm reluctant to do that even on my machine, where I rarely use any word
processor (though AbiWord is it when I do); I'm more than reluctant to do
so on my user's machine, where there's half a novel to lose.
Can I no longer just download an rpm and do rpm -Uvh?? (I'm running Fedora
Core 4)
