answer: it's possible, but it seems the program itself doesn't have the staying power. RAM = 224mgs (should be sufficient as I don't run more than 2 programs at one time, plus AV)
Thanks for your thoughts about desktop, etc. software. That may be why I expected more from the word processor, but again, Word did not fade on me, and if I recall correctly, the cursor jumped to the appropriate place at the start of each column; no manual tabbing--- but I could be wrong. Unfortunately, I don't have Word now, and it is expensive.
