After being sorely disappointed with Fedora 8 (lots of neato features,
but I can do without the quirks - keyring issues, mail issues, unstable
apps, etc) and upset that FC6 is EOL (just when it really got to be
super stable) I am migrated to CentOS 5.
I can't be w/o AbiWord or Gnumeric, so I built them and their
dependencies.
I know they are probably already available in 3rd party repos but I've
been burned by third party repos replacing vendor installed libraries,
and then telling me it is my fault because I used the wrong repo
management tool or didn't have priorities properly configured or
whatever - and I could give a rats ass who's fault it is, even if it
really is my fault, because it doesn't matter who's to blame - I still
have a borked system, and adding a layer of repo priorities adds
complexity that makes it easier for me to screw up.
Anyway, as such I generally don't like to use 3rd party repos unless
they don't duplicate vendor packages.
So I built them myself. I used mock to build them, and src.rpm's from
Fedora 8.

Not given much testing yet, but all the dependencies for AbiWord and
AbiWord itself built very cleanly, so I'm fairly confident things are
proper with AbiWord.
