Can Windows Vista Home Basic run AbiWord at Startup?

I'm trying to set up a computer running Vista Home Basic for a blind
person. I'd like to have AbiWord run at startup to reduce the user's
frustration level. I know about putting items in the Startup folder, but
When I put the Abiword binary in Startup I got an error message
"libabiword.dll not found." I got the same error message when I copied
the AbiSuite folder from Program Files. In my home system (WinXP) it
worked by copying the desktop shortcut into Startup. My question is,
will this also work in Vista?

Thank you
