Vector graphics in abiword?

Hi,

first let me say that looking at it again since some years I am quiet
impressed with the current status od abiword and the progress it has been
made.

I miss, however, the possibility to include vector graphics, either as
native vector graphics objects or as "passed through" EPS for PostScript
output. I would like to know if this is an issue already worked upon or
otherwise if there is a workaround to achieve this anyway.

In principle it should be possible to use bitmap graphics as placeholder and
replace them finally in the PostScript output with EPS. Anyone did this yet?
