can't scroll down using mouse wheel

Hi,

I have Abiword 2.8 and Windows 7. I can't scroll down using the mouse
wheel. I can scroll upwards. The scroll bar on the right hand side of
the window will scroll in either direction with no problem. Would
anyone have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?
