I don't think that anyone is currently doing a Russian translation. Since
all the documents are in HTML, just translate them from there. Just make a
copy of the existing help files, and leve all the tags alone. Just change
the text between the tags, which shouldn't be too difficult. Alternatively,
you could use a web editor, but I've always found it to be easier to edit by
hand.

You will also have to do some screenshots of the Russain version of Abiword.
Just send you results to the mailing list, or if they are really big, to the
patches list. We will need someone with commit access to make a new
directory for the Russian help files.

The only bit of javascript is in the search page, but you don't need to
write any javascript for that. All you need to do is edit the data fields in
the javascript.
