Bug 1751: Don't exit when closing last document.
Bug 1909: Do exit when closing last document. (I just opened this one.)
Bug 1911: Provide dialogue when closing last document to chose to exit or open new document.

This will be my last message on this thread (promise!). The above bugs represent pretty much the possible options on this issue. Since the various bugs were posted at different times, I just wanted to be sure that everyone interested was aware of the following things about voting. 1) You can adjust your votes at any time. That is, whenever you vote, your current votes are shown for every bug you have voted for which you can change at that time. 2) You can spend your 30 votes however you want (ie all 30 on one bug, or spread around). 3) You can vote for different solutions to the same problem. Basically to rank your solutions. For instance 10 votes for 1751 and 5 votes for 1911 would say you thought 1751 was the best solution and 1911 was the second best. I only say this since two of the solutions are on one side of the answer and one is on the other. If you do the vote splitting, you are not wasting your votes since you can later move the votes from the "losing" choice once that becomes clear.
And now the voting will decide & I will say no more on this topic.
Regards,
J. Raines
