Hi there!

I have installed AbiWord 0.7.13-1 GTK Linux on my PC which is running
on SuSE Linux 7.0 and GNOME.

I have followed the instructions in the AbiWord FAQ to install a
German dictionary by replacing the standard dictionary american.hash
in the /usr/share/AbiSuite/dictionary directory with the file
german.hash which I took from the /usr/lib/ispell directory that was
automatically installed by SuSE. When this didn't work I tried several
other things: Setting up a symbolic link pointing to
/usr/lib/ispell/german.hash, renaming
/usr/share/AbiSuite/dictionary/german.hash to ./american.hash etc. pp.
Nothing worked: AbiWord simply won't carry out a spellcheck unless I
copy the original american.hash file to the directory again.

Please help me - without a German spell-check, AbiWord is useless to
me ...

Thanks ahead for any help.

Greetings,
Claudia
