FWIW, a while back I logged a bug that seems somewhat related:
It has to do with importing tabbed leaders, and there's a test case in the abi tree (actually, I haven't checked to see if the file still crashes AbiWord, and I'm not sure if it crashed on all platforms in the first place). Thanks.
