Ashley,
The Unix Font Path Problem is at
"http://www.abisource.com/twiki/bin/view/Abiword/UnixFaqAbiWordCouldNotLoadTimesNewRoman"
in the FAQ.
The solution is to log in as root and type the following command:
# /usr/sbin/chkfontpath -a /usr/share/AbiSuite/fonts
