    K, John. Does the "View->Toolbars" menu have your formatting toolbar
    checked? If not, check it please.

    As for gdict, what OS are you running on? The 0.99.1 plugin might or
    might not work on 0.99.2. I can send you a plugin that I know works
    against CVS head (redhat 7.1 i386, abiword post 0.99.2). You also need
    libgdict.so or libgdict.a libraries installed from http://www.gnome.org

    If this doesn't work for you, I can send you instructions on how to
    build the plugin yourself.
