There is a preference option in the preferences(?) or options that is
only visible while there is an editing window open. From memory it was
'turn off Unix font paths'. I was .. it seemed like a good idea at the
time ;-(
when I try to open a file (tried several types) or create a new file, I
get a long dialogue message, the gist of which is:
AbiWord could not load the following font or fontset on the X Window
System display server:
[-*-Times New Roman -regular-r-*-*-*-0-*-*-*-*-*-*]
etc
While the dialogue is open, I cannot get to the menus from the windows.
The okay (only) button closes the window.
I have tried to remove all abi* files and reinstall with no luck. I
cannot even find an XF86config file.
