    Actually as John suggested it's XFree86-devel-static, but some of these names
    can get quite ridiculous. Now that the Xi library exists the compile worked
    fine, and I now have a running 1.0.3, I'm happy for a while, except for one
    other thing, which I'll deal with as another thread.
