Hi Ina,
Which version of AbiWord are you using? Best to upgrade to 2.0.0
if you are using an earlier version.
Which desktop environment are you using? KDE, GNOME, another?
Which Linux distribution are you using? RedHat, SuSE, Debian,
another? The version number 2.4.18 is presumably the kernel
version, but it helps to know roughly what other software is
present.
