    I have just installed abiWord (v1.99.6) on a Win2k partition of a T21 Thinkpad
machine. Although I have not really put it through its paces, it seems to be
    functioning properly.

One of my reasons for choosing this program is its advertised ability to
support Right-to-Left Languages, Arabic and Hebrew. I can see how to control
the typing direction, and I can see in the Font window the names of several
fonts that I know to contain Arabic or Hebrew glyphs, but selection of any of
these causes text to be displayed in Latin letters. I would like to know the
incantation that will cause Hebrew or Arabic letters to be displayed.
