Language inoput

I have had my computer set up for Unicode for quite some time. I
regularly type in English, Greek and Hebrew in OpenOffice.org and
BabelPad, etc. I recently installed AbiWord 2.2.5 on Windows XP with SP2.

No matter what language I set the Language Bar to, I only get English
letters.

I've checked the FAQs and the archive of this list and found no help. I
can copy and paste from BabelPad to AbiWord and it displays properly.
I've checked the settings on Regional and Language Options in the
Control Panel and everything seems fine.

How can I input Greek and Hebrew, along with English text?
